About the Role

Electrical Site Manager

1st Step Solutions are supporting a leading structured cabling company who are looking for an Electrical Site Manager to join their team in London.

Job Purpose:
The role will involve covering multiple projects, with critical responsibility for the management and success of the project, including customer relations, health and safety, quality, environmental, programme and the cost/value of operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Providing leadership, and energy.
* Controlling prelims, and project budgets.
* Ensuring the electrical works run to strict programme.
* Maintaining strict quality control procedures.
* Procurement and management of the supply chain.
* Management of change - client/company/supply chain.
* Lead regular site meetings with all interested parties.
* Report on site progress to project manager.
* Produce and manage two week look ahead.
* Managing sub-contractors to maintain programme targets.
* Assist with commissioning and handover.
* Review of the scope of works, produce RAMS documents where required.
* Issuing technical submittals of all equipment/packages under guidance of the project manager.
* Work closely with the client to ensure all work is carried out correctly and within the allocated time.
* Maintain all required site documentation/permits/plant registers.
* Conducting regular site safety checks.
* Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems.
* Maintaining effective long term relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisors.
* Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems.
* Reviewing methods of working, alternative materials etc. in order to maximise commercial profitability.
* Seeking and developing ongoing continuous improvement.
* Providing aftercare services to the customer.
* Implementing and maintaining the Company's Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development and acting as an exemplar of the Company culture and values.
* Coaching and motivating subordinates.
* Any other duties relevant to the role.

Skills/Qualifications:
* Relevant Electrical trade qualifications.
* Current, valid CSCS card, ideally supervisor.
* SMSTS/SSSTS.
* Supervisor/Management experience.
* Strong leadership and management skills.
* Technical cabling knowledge and experience.
* Commercial and financial awareness.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* A working knowledge of Microsoft packages - Word, Excel and Outlook.
